Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA, what we have done, what is not perfect, and how to tell us about a problem.
Last updated: 16 August 2026
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their circumstances. This site has been built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML structure with a single, logical heading order on every page
- Text and background colour combinations meeting or exceeding a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text
- Every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator
- A “skip to content” link as the first focusable element on every page
- Form fields with permanently visible labels, and errors announced in text rather than by colour alone
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels
- Text that reflows without loss of content or function when zoomed to 200 per cent
- Animation suppressed automatically for visitors whose device requests reduced motion
- Descriptive link text rather than “click here”
- A page title and meta description unique to each page
Known limitations
The embedded map is provided by a third party and its internal controls are outside our control. The address and directions are also given in plain text on the contact page so that no information is available only through the map.
Tell us if something does not work
If you encounter a barrier on this site, we would like to know. Contact us on 01527 67232 or at info@daleharris.co.uk, describing the page and the difficulty. We aim to respond within five working days.
If you need any information from this site in an alternative format — large print, plain text, or read to you over the telephone — please ask. There is no charge.
Enforcement
The Equality and Human Rights Commission is responsible for enforcing the accessibility requirements that apply in the United Kingdom. If you are unhappy with how we respond to your complaint, you may contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
